Citronella: With a fresh, summery smell that instantly reminds you of backyard candles and tiki torches (minus the nasty carcinogens!), the plant that releases this oil is related to Lemongrass, is native to tropical Asia and has been used for centuries for skin protection and for other therapeutic purposes.
Apply topically with some carrier oil for a refreshing and uplifting addition to your picnic or backyard barbecue!
A big component of Young Living's Insect Repellent! It's an oil/serum, so you just rub a tiny bit over your exposed skin. Lasts forever!
Make a spray with 25 drops Citronella, a tsp of carrier oil, 2 Tbsp of witch hazel and 2 Tbsp of water, and spray on skin when outdoors. (Cypress, Lemongrass, Clove, and Geranium oils would be great to add as well!)
NLB Spruce: Ok. Ultra-fave right here from my earliest days of oiling. When I smelled an array of piney oils, this one’s scent just drew me in in a magical way that drove me to get it before all the others. Plus, it does wonders for the limbic system (i.e., all those emotions.) It’s a grounding, re-setting forest-walk-in-a-bottle that I literally crave.
It’s grown at Young Living’s own Northern Lights farm in Alaska - watch this! Some people say the nearness to the Aurora Borealis has a certain energetic/molecular effect on the volume and potency of the trees’ oil. One thing’s for sure - the meticulous care that YL takes with their plants and the harvesting process means that those drops of oil are as potent and powerful as they can possibly be.
How we use it at our house:
My husband comes home after a stressful day looking for it to apply all over his neck and temples.
I make his cologne, my body sprays and perfume with it.
I make the Anthro Capri Volcano smell-alike diffuser blend with it. (bliss!)
It’s inside the AgilEase joint support supplement I’ve been taking daily.
Lime: Can I just say…this oil is my official summertime bae. Cannot do that summer life without it. Click here for my Lime Oil blog post!
Forget margs from a sugary, artificial mix. This oil will make the freshest, most authentic rita you’ve ever tasted.
It makes any diffuser blend simply blissful with its fresh and summery scent.
Salsa? Guac? Pico? Fish tacos? Vinaigrettes? Yes, please. And more.
Fat-burning, cellulite-busting, chemical-detoxing? For sure! Just add to your sparkling water and make a functional La Croix with no mystery “natural flavor/essences.”

Nourish your skin this summer after your sun-soaked adventures!
With cedarwood oil for its cleansing, tightening, and smoothing properties and peppermint oil to cleanse and refresh, this bar soap is wonderful for adding moisture to your skin. Also contains jojoba oil for balancing sebum production, and nutrient and antioxidant-rich wolfberry (NingXia) seed oil.
YES YES YES. I fell in love with this when I first experienced its brain-supporting, come-alive power. It’s not your typical energy shot. It’s so nourishing and rebuilding - your brain and cells will feel it.
Didn’t sleep well? Need to be “on”? Skip the sugar and stimulants, and reboot for real! I adore the taste of Nitro, and crave the brain relief I get with these little tubes of goodness.
Besides the miracle of NingXia Red juice, Nitro tubes have essential oils like Nutmeg for a boost of natural energy, D-ribose, B vitamins, Korean ginseng, and green tea extract to wake you up naturally. All these support alertness, as well as “cognitive fitness” and “physical fitness” (i.e., “mom-brain remedy” and “extra-mile energy”).
(Plus - in addition to your 14 tubes of NingXia Nitro, you’ll get a pair of socks with soles that say “If you can read this, bring me my Nitro!” Brilliant.)
